When it comes to children’s parties, no child wants to be left out of the fun.Â
But when Kristen Fox, a mother of 5-year-old twin girls, said she wouldn’t let one of her daughters attend a party where the other wasn’t invited, all social media hell broke loose.
“Either they both go to the party or [neither is] going to the party,” Fox, a content creator from Los Angeles, said in a post — inadvertently sparking a digital firestorm.
“I literally can’t think of the pain that’s going to cause the girl who wasn’t invited,” she drawled.
Cybercritics, however, strongly disagreed with Fox’s two-or-none position.
“Twins here … PLEASE don’t take away the opportunity for one child to attend pc the other was not invited. That’s life, – one commenter argued. Â
“It’s NOT an all or nothing situation,” barked another. “You have to let them be their own person too.”
Amid the chaos, some supporters sided with Fox, saying she had the right to protect her daughter’s feelings.
